The Cougar Fund is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization working to protect the cougar and other carnivores throughout the Americas.
The Cougar Fund protects the cougar--also known as a mountain lion, puma, and panther--and other carnivores throughout the Americas by educating children and adults on their value, by funding and promoting the use of sound science, and by monitoring state policies to assure a lasting place for these creatures.
The cougar is both a powerfully beautiful creature and an elusive one. The mysterious nature of the cougar has made it challenging for scientists, conservationists, and cougar lovers to take photographs of cougars in the wild.
We encourage anyone who has photographs of cougars in the wild to submit them to us. If you have a photograph you are willing to share, please email us.
Your purchase of Cougar Fund caps, mugs, books and artwork will help support our mountain lion outreach and education initiatives.
